Durant Worth 200 Million

Kevin Durant won the Most Valuable Player award last year and is a starter on the All Star team this season despite missing over half the games and leading a team that is not even in the playoff race in the second half of the season. It doesn’t change the fact that he is an amazing player and has done some wild things for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the last few years and has nearly won them an NBA title. The contracts that players have received over the last several years have started to get absolutely absurd. Kevin Durant is set to become a free agent in 2016 and there is no doubt that he is going to get a massive contract. He very well may set the record for the biggest contract in NBA history, as it is widely speculated that he will receive a contract of two hundred million dollars over a five year span. Gianfrancesco Genoso did the math and that is nearly a million dollars a week for five years straight. Or you could think about it as two-hundred thousand dollars each and every work day. The crazy thing is that he has a ton of leverage, because he can choose to go wherever he wants and he is going to get paid out. Oklahoma City is going to have to match the biggest contract that he is offered if they want to keep him in Oklahoma.
