I don’t follow a lot of people on Twitter, but as an entrepreneur I have made it a habit to follow a few people. Dick DeVos is one of the people that I stay connected to. He has made some great strides in the business world, and I like to see what he is up to next. I follow DeVos on Twitter so I am aware of all that he has done, and I am familiar with the new projects that he is taking on. He is a giver that manages to spread his wealth among the community, and I have become a fan of his leadership because of this.
Over the years Dick DeVos and his wife have become very charitable givers that have blazed a trail for others. He has a foundation with his wife, but they are not the only ones that give. He has also encouraged his children to give back as well. I like the fact that he has been able to build such a strong legacy of giving down through the years. I like his attitude and his faith on giving. The DeVos family has relinquished more than a billion dollars through their giving. I believe that this sets a strong example for his family. He has shown his children that it is a good thing to give, and they have followed his footprints by becoming charitable givers themselves.
I believe the thing that really makes it easy for people to like and appreciate Dick is his ability to see past all of the prestige that comes with being the president of the company. He humbles himself and makes the decision to give to others that are in need. This is the pinnacle of what a true business leader looks like. He has seen a need in the community and he has taken strides to fill this void by helping others.
Over the years the DeVos family has grown as a force in the business world. People are very appreciative of the sacrifices that they have made, and consumers have been willing to patronize the family because they appreciate the charitable contributions that this family has made. This is typically one of the best ways to win customers over. When consumers can see the good that business leaders are doing in the community they are much more likely to support these business leaders.
