Born and brought up in Texas, McWilliams is a renown philanthropist, lobbyist and political fundraiser who currently resides in Old Enfield. She lives with her husband, Dean and their three children in a historic home. Andrea McWilliams is well known for her keen attention to details, and has unending interest in art. Whatever issue she gets involved in, she is known to display her unique expertise and skill set which has seen her being profiled in a number of Texas publications, as well as being distinguished by the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce who see her as an expert in all she does.
Currently McWilliams is on the PAC Board of Ryan, an award winning global tax services firm. As a Chief of staff at 21, McWilliams went on to expand her private sector skills at the iconic public relations company and is a co–founder of McWilliams, a firm dealing with governmental affairs consultants where she has a role as a top Texas lobbyist and works alongside her husband, firm co-founder crafting policy in legislative and regulatory arenas on behalf of their clients.
McWilliams is widely known for her philanthropy. Among many philanthropic position, she has been a longtime member of St. David’s Toast of the Town committee, an elected member of the Long Center’s Notable Women, and the honorary chair of the Mamma Jamma Ride.She happens to be a recipient of the “Profiles in Power “Austin Business Journal’s and the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce Businesswoman of the Year Finalist awards. She has also been recognized by the Girl Scouts of Central Texas by awarding her “Woman of Distinction” Award. Additionally, McWilliams accepted the “Austin Under 40” Award and most recently she also received Austin Fashion Week’s “Style Setter” Award, which recognized her work and dedication on behalf of locally based nonprofit organizations.
